Kintarō Hattori Teapot & Sugar Bowl

Postby sdiceman » Tue Mar 23, 2021 1:22 pm

I recently purchased a teapot and sugar bowl that have a swallow bird mark on the bottom that I believe relates to Kintarō Hattori. I was hoping to get some help in deciphering the Japanese characters.

Also, is there any chance that the teapot is actually the creamer? It seems small for a teapot but I’m not familiar with Japanese tea wares of this era.

Thanks!

Hi,

I believe it to be a teapot and made of silver, the mark in the middle; (Jun-Gin) and Hattori Kintaro swallow mark
