I'd like some help identifying the code on the back and the markings in the center of a silver (I think) plate.
The plate is marked "habibjoo&sons", which apparently indicates a family business of kundagari (traditional Kashmiri goldsmiths), most active in early XXth century. However, I have no idea about the marking below, that reads "S.91 0". Does it indicate the date, the standard used or is it just a serial number? I'm hoping it would let me better identify the plate.
Additionally, I undertand this is not the main focus of this forum, but this seems to be a commemorative piece, with the central part marked with a crown (british marquess or prince crown, I think?), as well as Roman numerals "XXXI" and what appears to be some letters, albeit given the way they've been worked into the floral design, I'm not sure what they are. I'm guessing that's an important clue regarding the plate's history and origin, so I would be much obliged if someone has any idea what those markings indicate.
The plate is 26,5cm in diameter.
