Mark appears to read CpelletT (C.T) in rectangle on handle reverse. Personalized with Gothic/Olde English letters obverse. Small surface holes in bowl...ruined plating or pocks in metal? Possible coin silver? Photo at rear bowl might help?

Hi, very lovely Chinese silver spoon. I believe that is the mark of Canton China silver maker Cutshing (1830-1895).

I'm wondering about the choice of the thistle as decoration. Jardine, Matheson & Co. were big players in the Canton trade at this time and their logo was a thistle. More research is required, but could this be a 'Captain's Spoon'?

Search Ref: Maker mark "CUT" (example of use without additional pseudo-marks).
