Japanese silver cup with Cranes and Turtles

Postby LadyLancashire » Wed Feb 21, 2018 7:33 am

Can anyone help me to identify and date this item. I have already learned by reading through the forum that one part of the mark is the jungin mark but can anyone tell me anything about the other mark and what it says.

I'm guessing no-one is able to help with the stamp mark. Is anyone able to give me a rough idea of the date from the style of the cup?

The mark "純銀" means pure silver, and the mark “服部製” means "made by Hattori", so the marker and retailer is K. HATTORI & CO., Tokyo, Japan (current Seiko Holdings).
