I tend to think this object is solid silver except for the rod of the hinge but I'm not absolutely sure:

This item should be a solid silver cigarette case. There are fineness mark "90" and maker's mark "仁", but the first mark (retailer's mark) is unknown. Probably 3rd~4nd of 19c, Guangdong.
