Hello,

Could anyone please help with this hallmark, and maybe give me an idea of the date?

Hi:

I would guess that it is from the first half of the 20th century, most likely I think c. 1920. It is from China. The SILVER marks means that there is a good chance that it has some silver content (at least in my experience). The SILVER mark, however, does not guarantee silver content and you may want to get it tested. I'm not sure about the other marks as I've not seen them before. Do you have any idea what the material in the center is? It looks like plastic, which I would guess makes it less likely to have a high silver content.

Best, Kirsten

Hi, and thanks for replying!

As far as I can tell the material isn't artificial as it's very cold to the touch. I suspect it's turquoise although I haven't confirmed that yet, I'm trying to find out as much as possible online first. My mum picked it up for pennies a few months ago and we're just interested in what its history might be!
