Vietnamese bracelet? Silver or Platinum? Markings/Maker?

Any help is greatly appreciated. My mother received this bracelet in 1964 as a going away present from her landlord in Vietnam. Not sure if it's silver or platinum. Also,...can barely make out the marking on the clasp. I believe it is B. KMA, howeve, I am not sure. I've spent the better part of 2 days worth of free time researching it, to no avail. Any help is tremendously appreciated.

1) Is the bracelet Vietnamese?
2) What is the composition of the bracelet?
3) Is it a known maker?

It looks like some of the silver plating has flaked off...
