Any help at all on this would be appreciated

The bottom of these to Julep cups read : "Choochi we love you (1st cup bottom) with love from your Indian Family" on the bottom of the second.
they are each stamped silver. The engraving is scratched in, not professional at all.
I think these are sterling and I THINK made by American Indian based solely on the inscription. there are no other markings. The outsides are brushed and the design bright and shiny.
So what does anyone know about this? Could it be sterling? the vertical scratch on the bottom of first cup is very deep and still looks silver.
I would appreciate any comments anyone can offer on these two cups.

East Indian, not Native American.

Heh, I'm sorry if I seemed brusque, just popped in for a minute before, and wanted to send you in the right direction. I'm sure the administrators will let you know if you've broken any rules, but you seem okay to me - and wonderful work with the doggie rescue, my BF has a Bloodhound/English Bulldog mix - what a character!

Not unusual for silver from India to be marked simply "SILVER" and the fineness seems to vary quite a bit, these pieces look fairly recent to me - and there's really no question that they're not Native American.

Not at all.. you weren't the least bit brusque and have been very kind and helpful. You gave me a direction to search for more info. I really appreciate that.
Oh I would LOVE to see that mix.. I bet that dog runs the household.. mine do :) And both breeds snore so loudly.. LOL!
