Postby lolo1965 » Sat Nov 24, 2007 2:54 pm

Can anybody tell me the origin and the date of this beermug. I guess it is from Kalkutta around 1940.

Hamilton & Co. was probably the best known and celebrated British (Colonial Silver) silversmith operating in India during the British Colonial reign. Such was their reputation that they were known as the Garrard of India.
The letter Y was for 1960, work back from this letter to your letter O and you
should have a year of assay. Regards
