SILVER PEPPER POT

Hi guys

I wonder if anyone can identify this mark on a small petter pot/spice pot. It is etched with birds and a hare. Lovely little item. I wonder if it is Ottoman or Persian.

Hi,
It was made in Persia (Iran).Standard 84 has been discussed here; contrary to often quoted misconception number 84 has nothing to do with Russian 84 zolotnik (.875).
It is simply .840 fineness.
