Can anybody help me figuring out what the hallmarks signify with respect to era, maker and anything else that will help know anything about my grandmother? Those are on a purse that I found...

Re: Please help with figuring this out
Hi,
It was made in Cairo, Egypt, in 1917- 1918 (date letter S in Latin). Cat national mark used before 1946.
Fineness .900.

Re: Please help with figuring this out
Cannot explain 800 mark. Fineness in Arabic alphabet numerals (in the first mark) is apparently 90 for .900 fineness.
Could it have been made elsewhere where .800 standard was legislated and then wrongly remarked in Egypt ? Less likely.

Thank you so much for your time and effort! There are three marks on top and then one on the right by itself. What does the that signify? The maker?
Thx again
