Hopefully I am posting this in the right section,
Came across this little item the other day. Tried my best to find what the marks meant, but no luck.
Any help with finding out a little more about it would be great.

Date letter repeated 1996, more probably the year the box was made (having in mind the situation in Middle East I doubt there were many tourists in 1947).
Re: Need help identifying marks
Thanks everyone for the responses! I really appreciate everyone's help!
I had no idea that was suppose to be a lotus, or even a flower for the matter. I thought it was a bell.
Typing weird C hallmark into google got me know where.
And I have no idea what that first mark was suppose to be.
Any advise for a beginner on what is the best way to identify a hallmark?

Re: Need help identifying marks
The first mark is a combination of the assay office (the mark at the top), which in this case is Cairo, and the silver content expressed in Arabic numerals: ۸۰۰ is 800.
