Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Please tell us some more about the item. What is it? How large is it? Are you showing us all of the marks? There appears to be another mark on the far right of your image?

Give some time to creating your posts and photos, we'll give some time to researching and answering them.

this is the second picture. It is an ivory round box 9cm long

I've heard it can be good for 18th 19th century? What is important is the significance of the hallmark.

Hi welcome to the forum.

It could be; Tunisia assay mark ( mis/double struck); the star used 1878-1905 but used as tax-free mark for a longer period, the Arab writing could stand for mixed metal gold and silver and gold 375/1000 fineness. However I stand to be corrected.

Makkum, it is very unhelpful to drip-feed information. Please supply images of all of the detail of this item.

Tunisia in the past has been a French protectorate 1881-1956
The Seurre import mark precious metal:

Not a perfect match and it could be a maker’s mark but let us wait for the opinion of our French contributors.
