Where might this small frame have been made? The not too high quality work suggests a small local craftsman.

Perhaps Egypt? sorry the mark is difficult to capture.

Yes, it appears to be Egypt. If that is a 'F' (I'm not at all sure that it is), then it would date to 1931-32.

Hard to tell for sure, but if the center mark is a lotus flower, wouldn't the date be post-1946?
