Vintage silver Arabic box, need help to id.

HI ALL NICE PEOPLE

I have this heavy wood lined silver box which has a flower design, it is hallmarked on the bottom with 3 Arabic characters.

When & where was this made?

Your box is from Egypt. You should see the photo of marks so:



1 mark - silver fineness (900) and town of assaying (I guess Alexandria)
2 mark - official silver hallmark from 1946 (lotus flower)
3 mark - date letter (1968-1974)

Believe the two dots above the Lotus flower identifies the Cairo Assay Office.
