I purchased this silver cigarette case at a general auction in London. It is engraved front and back and the inside is quite rough to the feel. It is marked as shown and I wished to know if this is Iranian or Persian silver and if the mark dates it at all.

Your piece is easily identifiable. This is an Iranian piece, known by the common engraving. The mark says ISFAHAN which is a city in Iran. I hope this is of help to you.
