Hello, I believe this mark to be Persian, but it could be some other Middle Eastern County. The mark is found on all my 6 demitasse cup holders. I am pretty sure these are silver plated but they they have not been officially tested. They are beautifully made. I would greatly appreciate any help or comments. Thanks for your consideration. Josh
