Tabriz/Persian Silverwork, late 1960s

This tea and coffee service was made in Tabriz, Iran in the late 1960s. It has the marking VIGE and something else on the bottom. Information on type of silver content would be appreciated.

Impossible to speculate. Could well be plate. In Iran marks mean little or nothing- they are not a guarantee of purity, and are often totally deceptive.
