Hello Silvergiraffe,

Your spoon is indeed Iranian, stamped 84 in Arabic numerals and interestingly, the other stamp reads an abbreviated version of "Isfahan", the city in which it was produced. It's written in English for work exported abroad , to Western countries. As I was enunciating the letters that word in English, it's proximity to the Arabic was uncanny. I have not seen non-Arabic letters on an Iranian piece, nevertheless, for export abroad, it's plausible.
