Please help with Crown Mexican hallmark, Green Onyx Brooch

Hello!

I'm new to this board and would like to ask for some help.

I purchased this brooch and was told it is green onyx. I was also told that the word Plata on the back is Spanish for Silver. Then there is an 0925 (I can hardly make out the 5?) and was told the word below is the location in Mexico. Im not sure this is all correct, just passing on what I was told.

I've looked and looked on this web site and can't seem to find the crown hallmark. Can someone tell me if the information I was told is correct and what the crown hallmark is? I sure would appreciate your help! And thank you for having this wonderful web site!

Its me again....

are the photos good enough to see the Hallmark? I cleaned it a bit more, but I really need a polishing cloth to do a good job. I was just hoping someone would be familiar with silver crown marks and could direct me somewhere to check them out.

My guess is that the stone looks like Chrysoprase. The second part of the bottom word does appear to be Mexico. 0925 would be Sterling silver. Sorry I can´t help with the crown mark.

Hello- Flakey here- FLA Keys-
Have a pair of fushia and gold foil earrings with the same crown mark and design. Mine say "sterling mexico" I believe Plata means silver plated. "platear" means to silver, or silver plate. "platero" is silversmith.
Been researching my pieces as well-- appear to be early 20th century- done pre spratling/davis era when the colonial style was favored. But don't hold me to that- like I said, still researching. Hope this was somewhat helpful to you. will get back with anything I find out.

Plateado means silverplate, Plata means silver. The 0.925 indicates sterling and Guad means that this unknown maker is from Guadalajara. The stone is more likely to be green onyx, commonly used in Mexican jewelry and this pretty piece appears to be 1940's vintage.
