Antonio Castillo bracelet?

Postby karenskelly » Sat Feb 18, 2006 2:40 pm

I have a vintage mexican silver bracelet that I know was made between the 1920's and mid-1940's. It is stamped " silver made in Mexico" on the back with an "A" in a circle. I have done some research on this hallmark and have found that it is attributed to Antonio Castillo. I am wondering if this is a piece made by Castilo himself? Is this what "attributed" means? What else can you tell me about this piece?

The term 'attributed' means that the mark is thought to be his by a fair number of people knowledgeable in the field. However, there is not enough information to definitively verify it. In other words - it is probably his mark.
