Taxco 925 & Carved Amethyst Ring - Miguel Melendez?

Hi

I recently acquired a really wonderful Taxco 925 & carved amethyst ring - see included photos. I had originally thought the mark was Miguel Melendez, but the more I examine it, the more I think it may not be. ? Does anyone know if this IS Miguel Melendez? If not, do you know who it might be?
