Maker’s mark on a Taxco 925 holly bracelet

Post by Mrs.Melanie »

Good afternoon

My mother was given a a holly and bell bracelet for either her 16th or 21st, so 1966 or 71 respectively.

I’m ok with the 925, Taxco and eagle 3 claw mark, but can’t find anything about the maker’s signature.

I thought it might be Tane, but the signature doesn’t quite match. I hold this piece dear, and would love to find out more about it, so any help would be appreciated.

Possibly Francisco Rivera. He was worked at the Emma Melendez shop, but I think I read some years ago that he produced some pieces under his own name. Have you been able to decipher what is between the F and the R?

Fka, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to make out anything other than the F and R, even with an eye loop.

I shall continue on with my quest.
