ID odd pearl handled table knife...

A friend has this set of smallish table cutlery. One has what appears to be an ivory replacement handle however it could be a knife of similar use/design from a different set. The blade shape is what has me stumped. Do any of you folks know what these were for? The blades are a little less than 3 in...

Greetings patrick, nice detective work. Now, what year so you suppose? Obviously before 1940 but when? Is the "u" perhaps a stamp concurrent with British stamps of the same period? To be found in my British hallmarks book? regards, and indeed thanks for the id, mitch

Silver cuff bracelet ID - hallmarks and maker.

Just a nice bracelet I picked up with above quality look and feel. I'm hoping someone recognizes the hallmarks or or, county of origin. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2537/4047426580_536e49b2d8_o.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Admin photo edit - image too large - insert...

I think that is exactly what it is for: why else the stud? and does the "U" shaped end of the pick not fit the stud's neck exactly?

I appears to do so in your pic.

Totiseshell spreader: how was this used??

Or, what was it for. I've seen tortiseshell "spoons" for caviar, but I've never seen a torty spreader. Anyone? http://cn0rha.bay.livefilestore.com/y1pbC-zEBdQFQocCo3PqP4CyBT3KZS_875fLpiolMFTK_i73vnq_U6NZvSRzd5b0fbmUVVTO_9w2WsNHtV8eVnU1ua0Ds7QQvXL/FRNT%20W%20RULER.jpg http://cn0rha.bay.live...

A Sheffield sawback knife... what was it's purpose?

Anyone know? By way of comparing the handle, you'd think this is probably a 6" blade... http://i468.photobucket.com/albums/rr44/campbellclanman/tatmonstamash048.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://i468.photobucket.com/albums/rr44/campbellclanman/tatmonstamash052....

The pic... Also; is this an early mark? or a later one? When was this pattern introduced?
