Wallace & Sons #710 Beaded Can Caster
Three part assembly..can, lid, cover (monogrammed). Resembles a shotgun shell shape. All parts carry mark “11”, like inverted “TT”. Definitely in rough shape, but a survivor. Holes are small like salt or pepper rather than sugar. But can could hold a large amount. Inner areas all have a golden tone....

Re: Information Regarding J.E. Caldwell & Co.
An alternate retailer mark of “J.E.C &Co.” placed on Gorham sterling flatware (with added stamped H827) listed by Caldwell as King Pattern (ref. 1906 ad.): https://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopi ... 11#p214511

Re: Incorrect silver pattern description in web page
From the 1906 advert posted by Trev on this page, it would appear Caldwell was just calling it Kings Pattern regardless of the full Gorham identification: https://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopi ... a&start=80

Re: Incorrect silver pattern description in web page
Reviving this dead horse with new images. This butter sample has been overstamped “J.E.C &Co.” for Caldwell of Philadelphia. It appears the the Gorham Lion/Anchor/Gee before STERLING has been squashed along with the center of the date numbers below “PAT” (Patent abbreviation). It actually can be...

Small Candles: 835S / C&C / (N??)
Three of the same form. Two using small marks for crown & crescent after 835. One using larger marks after 835S. All three appear to be a maker resembling Hanau pseudo s535 for Nieresheimer, but this “N” shape is not right…it has extra lines on the left which might suggest I am misreading a comb...

Top row top right cup has something above that dent zone, but you can only spot it at the hosting site where the images are a bit clearer.

Follow the link in thread…seems to have begun under older system (pre-1968) even though footnotes are listing 1971 era: https://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopi ... ra#p139794

Re: Silver Mule with Monkey Object
I’d say donkey, not mule. Perhaps guitar rather than lute? And why does that coyote looking dog-thing next to him have a head like a duck? There’s got to be some story this is taken from. Could it point to Spain? Or is it from a Germanic fairy tale source?

Re: Bell & Bros Silver Cups San Antonio TX
Coin silver seems possible here. The items are “julep cups”, sometimes used for presentation reasons (and maybe horse trade related). You can find the same form with a handle attached, and from Bell Brothers. Can you read the inscriptions?

British Antique Dealers Association (BADA) has sample mark and placing Manuel Garrido executing work for retailer Lopez in the mid-1930’s era. (Due to commercial nature, no linking allowed. Images did not download, but mark is clear.)

Re: Gump’s: Blanchard Related?
This gets even more complicated. There’s a firm marking Sheffield blades attached to very nice Sterling handles using the name”Royall Silver Company” (that’s right, two “L”’s). If they just made the stainless blades, why the silver company name? And then we get others using Royal Cutlery as the blad...

German Army Accomodations Knife
Might call this a KoRUPPtion of a silver site, but I think this is a Bernsdorfer MF mark used in 1966 on flatware for the West German Bundeswehr Unterkunst (“BwU”). Presumably they ate in mess halls and not Hotel dining rooms regardless of what misleading internet translations may indicate. There ar...
