I forgot , but once time ago I had a spoons set with the same markings. Tested like sterling silver or better. http://i.piccy.info/i9/90b3ce119bfc548981f1d6eeb79ec8f2/1463005338/16337/1011428/DSC02763_500.jpg http://i.piccy.info/a3/2016-05-11-22-22/i9-9797322/500x271-r/i.gif http://i.piccy.info/i9/1...

Spoons probably made in Australia. See in top of left corner --- http://www.925-1000.com/foreign_marks.html The pattern, i believe, is variation of well known "Hildesheim rose". https://www.google.com.ua/search?q=Hildesheim+rose+pattern&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEw...

Re: ? Japan silver mark kanji - not jungin
Hi there. Nice powder case. Marking gin-sei( 銀 製 ), some dealers on E-bay claim that this is a mark for sterling silver, but I'm not sure about the correctness of such translation. At least I found a photo of the japanese obidome with such marking on tag. And kanji on the front, i believe, is an art...

Hi there! Have only this poor quality photo of marking. The central part is not readable to me. Perhaps, Mexico or Peru, but this is only my assumption. Maybe someone saw this marking before? Thanks! http://i.piccy.info/i9/b75f7d15d2fce670ba04a267e9b048f2/1450461130/33031/896328/mark.jpg http://i.pi...

Miyamoto-Shoko cigarette case?
Hello forum! Just received it, marked 純銀 and 宮本? (i don't sure about last kanji). The design with flying cranes and ocean waves remind me pieces of Meiji period, filled with the truly spirit of old Japan. So this is Miyamoto-Shoko? Meiji or later? Someone can help me read the artist name? http://i.p...

Re: Chinese Hallmark on Set of 3 Bowls
Hi there! For me it looks like japanese. The writing on the cup is left to right, so it is likely to be a prewar. The inscription on the cup says - 念記解散 / 撫順炭販賣株式會社 Rough translation "In Memory Of Dissolution, Fushun Carbon Trading Ltd". The marking on the bottom "銀純" (pure silve...

Silver charm or some sort of pendant? Need help with country of origin.
I'm sorry if I created a topic in the wrong section, but this thing clearly seemed to me like eastern. Got it from art dealer, and he was also not known anything about this charm(?), pendant(?) or wind chime(?). I dont know the country of origin... China? Thailand? Indonesia? No visible markings. In...

Japanese dessert set. Help with maker & period.
Hello forum! Can someone tell me when was made this set? Unfortunately, the maker name on the inner strip completely faded away, seen this maker logo before, but I can't remember where. There is also a "STAINLESS" mark on all cutlery. http://i.piccy.info/i9/8e780f7f193cf4f072a294f4d04b2eb6...
