Not really my area, but believe your box is Chinese Export 900/1000 silver by Hong Kong silver maker Wang Hing & Co., very prolific manufacturer working late 19th-early 20th century.

"X" in the diamond would indicate that the piece was made in 1862, "2397" should be a style or catalog number, don't know about the other letter.

Your silverplate teapot or coffeepot was made by Elkington, Mason & Co. of Birmingham, England. The mark was used from 1842-64. Elkington was the rare silverplate manufacturer that used date marks, the bottom diamond-shaped mark in picture 1 should have either a number or letter for the date. If...

Teapot? Looks like a tankard to me. Away from my references right now and the pictures of the marks are a bit indistinct on this monitor, but would guess German origin.

I prefer to refer to my lapses as "blonde moments" (though there's a lot of white mixed in - natural highlights!). **snicker**

That's an old William B. Durgin mark, your piece is one of the variations of their multi-motif Bouquet pattern, introduced in 1875. Lovely example of Durgin quality. What size is it? You say it's large - probably a berry spoon. Rainwater shows this mark with the comment that it's from Silver magazin...

Can't say that I've ever seen it before, and Norwegian marks are a particularly weak point in my very limited Scandinavian references. Perhaps I'm not seeing it correctly, but looks like St. Hallvard, the patron saint of Oslo with three arrows in one hand and a millstone in the other, lion's heads a...

Believe it's Norwegian, my references are so inadequate, know that the zodiac "cancer" symbol indicates when in 1842 it was assayed, the last mark appears to be a mirror-image of the Oslo (Christiania/Kristiania) city coat of arms.

Your set looks similar to mid-20th century Indian pieces I've run across, also marked "SILVER". They were not of particularly fine quality and wouldn't hazard a guess as to the actual silver content.
