E.J.BUXTON & CO.

I found the hallmarks later on this site!
The tray is from "Forbes Silver Co" U.S.A.
Now i like to find out aprox. how old my tray is...
It is decorated with Acanthus and shell's.

Hallo Mike,
I have a pot very similar to yours,you can have a look if you go to:
Silverplate - Trademarks - Worldwide.
My post subjet was "Hammond, Creek & Co."
You will see that the lit is almost identical to yours, and the general look of the pot too.

It dates from around 1900.
It is silverplated, but there are no marks.

Hi Pat,
Thanks for all that info!
I tried cold and hot vinaigre to clean it, but it doesn't seem to do the job.
I have another, perhaps to drastic way , and that is to use Amonia .
For now i leave it as it is, there might be somebody who have a better idee.
