Re: Cigarette case hallmark

Hi - Your rudimentary knowledge may be enough for an autodidact - but it is far from enough for a sophisticated forum. There are 2 types of sources in science: primary sources (100% verified) and secondary sources (not 100% verified). Just ask some expert - he will explain you the rules of the trade...

Re: Cigarette case hallmark

As to what is stated in Postnikova. It is the best book available for the moment but unfortunately it contains some "inefficiencies and frankly said errors too. I have registered close to 200 "inefficiencies etc.". Juke mentions #10 (76). It could be a mistake or a gold fineness. The...

Captain's spoon and fork

Hi -- as far as I know Captain's spoons were always a single present. Here I found a spoon and a fork from the same maker and donator. Insider know all the details so I do not have to repeat them. If someone too have a spoon and fork like that I would be interested in photos. https://abload.de/img/0...

Re: V.Morozov maker's marks?

If it is as you write - B. MOPO3Ob only made Podstakanniki and Stakantschiki - but no cutlery (according to PL)! But only cutlery from him is known.... I never in 50 years of collecting have seen the by PL mentioned objects - but tons of cutlery! So it is up to you to show some of these objects. Bla...

Re: V.Morozov maker's marks?

Maybe it escaped your attention that I speak of B.MOPO3Ob - the article is about И.E.MOPO3Ob! Many fakes and fake marks... The easiest way is to show some real enamel objects + the marks! No statement to the fake mark of B.MOPO3Ob.....just the known smokescreen. Do you realize that your behavior rui...

Hi Sam - nice to hear from you again. For personal reasons I do not post any more on the forum - but for you I make an exeption! Cigarette cases from A.O.A.M.3. Moscow are always wellmade and much better than the average. I enclose 2 examples and the mark in PL. https://abload.de/img/a.o.a.m.3.012kj...

Re: S. Stroganov Curious Detail?

Ahaa, Goldstein's answer tells us that he doesn't have the book. The book is about the history of the Sazikov family and their factorie's with pictures. Wrong guess! It covers the small statuary works depicting the Russian national topics in depth that brought large-scale fame to the Sazikov firm -...

Do not get insulted, ask Moscow University to be awarded a honorary PhD. Don't you think it's a bit arrogant to challenge not an ordinary book or publication but a PhD dissertation ? Besides,a couple of years ago you accepted Mrs Voldaeva^s marks highlighted in yellow as genuine but your name was Zo...
