750 silver - Hamburg - Peters
Does anyone have more information about this particular silversmith. Hamburg mark - Peters maker. During what years did he work and how often his work is found. During my three years collecting silver, this is the first I saw. Thank you, Jack http://www.polonianumizmata.com/silver/hallmarks/IMG_0006...

Hi,
I purchased a beautiful and quite large silver dish. The mark is 800 with a sort of Corinthian column on each side of 800. Any ideas what is it?
Thank you

Mystery solverd?
Latest information I received comes from Lithuanian silver collector. This particular silver mark is of Lithuanian origin. Silversmith worked in Hrodna (Grodno) City (today's Balarus).
Below is a Hrodna's coat of arms.

this is interesting. I used to have a spoon with the same exact mark and was never able to identify it. I suspected it might have been old german/prussian but no one was ever able to tell. All, I can say, you have a rare item in your hands. can you post a picture of the whole salt cellars? Thanks, J...
