Re: Need Help Trying to Identify Maker GMA and Country

Funny you keyed off the mark on the front. I hadn't even noticed those marks until I was reviewing the picture I took of the front for my whole image. This cross was in an old jewelry box and there was also a sterling rosary of a different style that was clearly marked Italy,so there is a definite p...

Sterling Scoop Need Help ID Pictorial Mark

I found this in a group of flatware at a yard sale this month. I picked it up because I thought it was Jensen Acorn, but it is only marked Sterling with a pictorial mark. The mark reminds me of the Atlanta Olympics Logo with stars ring out of a central column. Any suggestions of who this maker might...

Slotted Spoon Marked PV Maker and Use?

Just picked this spoon up at a yard sale. I bought it because of its unique shape. Overall, the spoon is about 7-5/8" long. The handle is hollow and has a monogrammed crest on the back. It looks to be sterling though there are no marks on the handle. The bowl is slotted in a leaf motif. One sid...

Sterling Ring Difficult Mark to Photo - Please Help

I would appreciate any help in identifying the maker of this sterling ring. There are a total of 3 marks: "Sterling", a name, a circle with the first letter of the name inside with 2 lines on either side. http://i468.photobucket.com/albums/rr46/johnsonsaga/ring5.jpg http://i468.photobucket...

Identify FNR Eagle - 1

Trying to identify Silversmith with FNR (or FNB or FNF) mark. It is surrounded by a large 925 on the top and Hecho en Mexico around the bottom. I have checked all of my other sources with no luck. This pendent is 1-1/4" in diameter and also has a newer style eagle - 1 mark. http://inlinethumb03...

Thanks, Pat. Cross-checking Meriden on a popular replacement site confirmed there was a Kensington pattern that was sterling and not silverplate. The design on the fork closely resembles the design on the bowl. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Info on Kensington, please

I have just acquired a sterling bowl but can find no information about the maker. The bowl is clearly marked Kensington. The bowl is 11" in diameter and 2-1/2" tall. I have only been able to find references to Kensington silverplate or the Gorham Kensington pattern. Any information about t...
