I would search in East Asia. Spoons and forks of such types and sizes are on sale in Korea. Also the AG 800 mark is a 100% match to a similar spoon I have from Korea. No help for the manufacturer mark.
Dear Pipes the mark in the middle (you call it "like a mixture of the letter "I" with an "A" intertwined and wings on either side") is an import mark from either Austro-Hungaria or post WW1 Hungary. Check out the Austro-Hungarian marks in the "World Marks" sec...
Thank you so much for your precise information! I am very happy that this mystery is solved. Where do you have your information from? I am still searching for a reference book for Swiss marks from the 19th and 20th century.
Please help my identify two manufacturers mark on tea spoons. The marks are most probably Swiss, because they are found often on flatware in Switzerland. I have a mixture of both marks on a set of tea spoons with the same retailer? mark "IH". So maybe it is a variation of marks from the sa...
Please help me identify the manufacturer of this fork. The mark with the grouse shows it is Swiss, in the time between 1882 to 1934. The manufacturer mark is a lion, similar to the British Sterling mark. Any information is helpful, thank you Jörg http://xdd.xanga.com/346d5a4177d31121501417/b8759048...
your bowl is Italian. A modern Italian Hallmark includes the purity degree (800) in an oval outline, a star, a number for the maker an two letters for the Italian province. Check out the corresponding sections on this site.
Hi baldman I suspect that it is Swiss. I am from Switzerland and I collect silver flatware. I run over that mark on some occasions already and I have proof of a similar type of fork with the same mark to be sold as a wedding present in the early 1930's. My assumption that it is Swiss bases only on t...
can anybody tell me something about an American Silversmith named Anthony or Anty Rasch? Probably from the early 1800's in New England. I have a small teaspoon from him an would like to know more of the maker.

It is a Diana head mark, number at left indicates silver purity, 3 =.800. Letter on right indicates city, P = Pest, A = Vienna For furh...
