Re: Help identifying this mark... Glasgow??

Hi The post was moved to the German section, with good reason. I think this could be a Berlin Mark. I think we had the maker "B" already in this forum, but could not find it. Theo will for sure follow up. In the meantime, can you clean the marks and post again. If there is a letter behind ...

Re: Super Inox AP 'fake" silver 800 cutlery?

Hi to legrandmogul, on silver plating "massive, 800, 925" silver. See the Youtube video from Robbe&Berking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PUDXRsGSVA in 1:50 they start galvanising, explaining in German they even galvanize 925 Sterling. then, I think, the set is not silver from all t...

Re: Super Inox AP 'fake" silver 800 cutlery?

Hi very interesting. Yes, here in Central Europe you stumble across these ARG800 sets quite regularly. They also pop up on auction platforms etc. Your set has quite a distinctive pattern, different from the normal ARG800 type. And it appears your 800 mark is stamped. Usually the ARG800 mark is part ...

Re: Silver Spoon Trademark ID

Please keep in mind to open a new topic if you post a different mark. However, the bottom spoon has the same maker and makers mark, JLS, so also J.L.Schoechlin as Theo pointed out. The other is from the still existing Swiss maker Jezler in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Just search Jezler in the forum. ...

Re: Silver Spoon Trademark ID

Hi and welcome to the forum. I did not find the maker. However, the spoons look southern German or Swiss. From the syle, the marking and the two stars they are similar to spoons from the Zürich area from 1835 to approximately 1860. Are there any stories running in your family where they are from or ...

Re: Set of Spoons from Hamburg with different makers, maker “H.W.F.K.”

Using the input from Theo I found an old post ferom 2009 from Theo and Blackstone.
There they state:
Heinrich Friedrich Krumstroh (1813-1876), Master 1842

Assay master "C" is again Friedrich Christoph Greve (1829-1854)

So this spoon dates between 1842 and 1854

Re: Set of Spoons from Hamburg with different makers, maker “Wally”

Following Baner's hint I searched the internet on Watty. It seems they are somehow famous silversmith in Hamburg. We have Joachim Heinrich Watty (1787-1845) and his son Johann Heinrich Watty (1816-1889). He got the concession number 66 in 1843. Assy master "C" is Friedrich Christoph Greve ...

Re: Set of Spoons from Hamburg with different makers, maker “IDL”

I missed some maker marks on the Hamburg page of the World Marks section: https://www.925-1000.com/Fger_hamburg_01.html So IDL is Johann Diedrich Laué (1808-1824) Assay master "V" is Johann Heinrich Zell (1816-1826) So the latest date for the spoon is 1824, wich is about 30 years earlier t...

I missed some maker marks on the Hamburg page in the World Marks section:
https://www.925-1000.com/Fger_hamburg_01.html

So P.Bm is David Peter Herrmann Baumann, active 1833 until after 1864

Small spoon, is this London? And what year?

I got this small spoon and struggle to date it. From the style/decoration the 1790ies would fit, which would be 1792 for the small "r". Bur the shape of the letter does not fit, also the shape of the cartouches do not fit, and the style of the lion is also different. Can you help me? Thank...
