Someone suggested this is a mark for "german silver" and is therefore not sterling? Is that possible and where can I find for info on german silver?

I'm researching some other silver pieces and learned today of the half moon / crown. Since the family is from Germany, it's likely the first two are the half moon / crown. Still working on the third part of the mark.
