Thanks Oel for confirming, will try and make a picture of the "minervahead" and "year letter" as well. Do you think it is a "loderein" box. Seems to me it could have quite some value, if it is a genuine box from 1828! regards heidi
Thank you Oel for this useful info, but why would anybody go through this trouble while the makers mark shows the correct date?? Is the Amsterdam hallmark (crowned crosses) also "fake" or just the yearletters?
Thank you all for your comments, the very small bowl is not gilded inside, it is almost 5 cm in widt and 2 cm in height. So I don't know what to conclude, a salt or not. You could put one bonbon in it, or quite some salt...... Regards Heidi
