The N and the first mark (head in shield) on the bottom row of marks are the only two marks on a sterling decorative box with Napoleonic shield on top that I have described in a posted question. Looking everywhere, it is the first time I have seen another N and head exactly like the marks on my box....

Know it's French, but can't identify maker's mark!

I have a beautiful old sterling box with hinged lid about 5" oval, 2" high. It is ornate and heavily embossed with Napoleon's emblem (eagle, 2 female figures, big N, crossed reeds or swords, etc). On the bottom is the Minerva's head and one other mark - simply a capital N. Who is this make...
