Yes, golden brooches, (small) rings, and pendants were not always (hall)marked. Often these items are of little gold weight and of low gold karat, 14K or lower 10-9K.

Hi Jaume, nice of smell. The maker's mark PC 144 for Paulus Riddersma Cabboes , active in Leeuwarden (Dutch province of Friesland), 1835-1859. The year letter L is for 1845.
