Fork(1865) with Cross of St. Maurice and British hallmarks

Dear members, I have been searching forum to identify some extra marks on the fork by G.W. Adams hallmarked in London in 1865. They are exactly the cross of St. Maurice & Lazarus and dolphin in circle. I am happy enough to find that those marks were in use in the Kingdom of Piedmont & Sardin...

3 soup ladles Munich 1841-1862 need help!

Dear experts, As you might see, all 3 ladles have similar marks - Munich mark with year numbers and name in rectangular frame and have no fineness mark. I would like to try your knowledge to get the answer to the following questions. 1. How the city mark relates to the fineness of the silver? 2. Wha...

Many thanks for your information, dear swisssilver and Bahner! Special thanks for Koch & Bergfeld. Now I have a few variants to choose. 1. I do think that is a patty server not cake as it is not plate but bowed and the end is castellated. 2,3. Both variants: for cheese and cold meat, look realis...

Thanks for your attention, JLDoggett! The length is 19cm for knifes and 19.5cm for forks. I thought the set is some kind of hunter's sets. If you click the larger image you might sea the design of the handle - "roe hoof" or "hirschkeule" (in German). May be cheese servers why not...

few servers unknown use Russian import marks 1875-1900

Please help to define what those servers used for. The upper one is probably a patty server. I did not find anything but images for the other 4 pieces. They are the part of a set including Carving and Salad pairs, besides shown items. Originally manufactured in Austria or Germany as there is only on...

hallmark on pique earrings

They are pique tortoise shell earrings with silver (tested) findings. The style is typical 2nd half 19th century. The only hallmark on a hook looks like French maker's mark. But there is no assay or guarantee mark, that is not typical for France. Dear experts, please help! http://aycu13.webshots.com...

Ornate silver purse frame - help with maker ID

Dear member, Trying internet I have identified (or suppose to have identified) one of 3 marks found on the frame (tested as solid silver). The above mentined mark is not really visible on my photo but looks like the city mark of Leignitz, Germany (two crossed keys in fancy frame). I failed to find a...

It is an Austrian import mark used from 1954. The 4 indicates .800 fineness, the W is for Vienna. Regards, Tom Thanks you, Tom, indeed, I suspected something like that but was confused by combination of that hallmark and mark by French maker. Now everything is placed on the right places. Thanks onc...

Re: Antique French silver shotglass Hallmark ID help, please

How do you identify the upper hallmark with the bird and letter w?
I have the pastry tongs with the same hallmark, but failed to identify.
Thanks for your time.
