whiting bonbon spoon makers' marks

I have recently acquired an old very large bowl bonbon spoon that is definitely Whiting. But the mark is a bit different from the W and the lion with his tail whipping back. There is a "4" before a small w followed by a lion sort of creature (an older mark) with his tail gently curving up....

I thought I was really learning, but I purchased an international sugar shell marked Deepsilver. What is that? Is it plate? Thanks so much. Janice.

identifying a maker's mark on a sugar spoon

I am a student of sterling serving pieces, but I am stumped on this sugar spoon. The only markings are an "s" in a triangle, another "s" in an inverted shield, and a "p" in a square. I would appreciate any input.
