Hello SS221- The R102 sounds like a catalog or registration number of some sort. I dont understand why it wouldnt be marked with the makers mark, being Sterling. Seems weird to me. Can you give it another once over, maybe with a magnifying glass even. If it has patterns to it, look in there also, it...

Hello Honey- Say hey! to Harv for me. As For the Crown, it dosen't mean much without the rest of the marks. The other marks could tell the where, what, who and the T could be a date mark. But without a "very" good description or a photo, can't say. As for its weight, it is probably weighte...

Hi David- You seem to know alot more about jewelry than I do. Just some thoughts at you however. Looking at the face of your necklace, could your "GJLD" be "GOLD" plated? they would I believe, mark it for both metals. The "Anton Michelsen" I'll take you at your word. Bu...

Hi Wolfgang- I see what you mean about the 800 being upside down, guess that dosen't matter much. The "A's" however.... are you sure that the second one is an "A"? Dosen't look like an "A" to me, looks more like a pictorial mark of some kind. What do you think? A origin...

Hey Crigger- I am just learning, but as I see it, your items appear to have copper showing thru the what appears silver plating. Many makers incorporated the lion as part of thier mark. Also see "pseudomarks" description here in the silver glossary. Glossary can be found from the home page...

Hello SC girl-

You can see the mark here on this site, nothing to do with the patriot other than perhaps the name sake.

Hello Antiqpro-
I think the crown is just part of the makers mark, not signifing Sheffield. What is that little mark on the bottom left of the diamond? Does it have any other marks any place else? can you see any worn spots that may show a base metal such as copper?

Best to ya! Byron
