Doing a google search; I see a lot of childrens flatware made by Reed and Barton called Rosebud, but there is no closeup of the mark. What does the pattern look like?

you are deffinetly correct that it is silver, I can see where it is stamped "Sterling", but I cannot make out any of the rest of it. Any chance of a better close up picture?

Hi John-

In this case the lion is just part of the makers mark it is not the british lion passant denoting sterling. Same with the "H" it stands for Hunt and is not a date mark.
