I cannot find the marks on this spoon in any of my references. It is an English style fiddle mustard spoon of a good gauge silver and gilded in the bowl. The pseudo marks suggest that it is colonial, but my searches have not turned up any answers. The maker’s mark is MSB in a cut cornered rectangle....

I know this is a long time after your original question, but as I used to work for Walker & Hall I can add a little more information. The firm of Walker & Hall was established in 1845 and your heated trivet bears a date mark for 1908.
