Moehring was only an importer, the box was made completely and finished in Hanau. Hanau pseudo marks often include copies of genuine older marks. In this case, the maker adopted the old Goerlitz town mark as one of his pseudo marks. Regards, Tom . Thanks Tom ! Only to understand right your answer. ...

. Somebody says the G is town mark for Goerlitz pre 1886 (Germany). It is or a pseudo maker marks? Thanks for help.

Hi there. This makers mark WM looks very similar to the makers mark for William Moering (1892-1903) that is posted on the 'makers marks' for London page. Cheers. - Thanks a lot ! The bottom two marks - the crown and the crowned "G" - are pseudo hallmarks, probably those of Georg Roth of Hanau, Germany. Thanks for answer! May I ask it now the crown from the german city or the maker one? what you mean with pseudo ? How old is the box? Not the english mark one are the oldest? ...

Somebody can help ? small english silver box

Dear silver colleagues, may somebody help to define the age, manufacturer and for what all symbols stand on this bottom? On the top same F- Lion and a symbol as on the bottom. Believe it is WM the maker? It is a jewerly one or for what it would be used. (admin edit - see guidelines) Measure 8 cmx 4....
