Hi Miles, Thanks muchly for the information - I think it most probably is William Comyns but now I have discovered the piece does not have a city mark on it - I thought it was london because of the date mark (which would make it 1880 not 1890) but should there not also be a leopards head for London ...

Could anybody help me further in identifying the maker of this, what I believe to be victorian, salt shaker (London, 1890?). I can only make out a . and a C any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
