The goldsmiths replied to my query...which was Uber fast.
They state the makers mark is
“F.A for Freda Aumonier who registered a mark in 1931”
Now time to research her...

Many thanks to both of you I will follow up on the Turkish and possibly Greek sources...I believe the bangle to be relatively old from the perspective of its almost blackened appearance and the fact it was owned by the same person as the other piece dated 1937 from Egypt but that does not automatica...

Indonesia seems to have .800 as the finesse ....not sure if that is the standard but this piece is .900 but will keep looking...

Thanks for the info it gives me another route to research...the bracelet is beautifully crafted to the finest details took me awhile to realise the pin mechanism for the catch was actually screw threaded..doh..

Thanks for the info....I was just trying to work out the finesse....so .900 Cairo and date letter L for 1936/37. Wow is didn’t realise it was so old it’s a really nice piece.. I have just been searching and worked out the piece is Egyptian with a finesse mark then the cat mark and the date letter L for 1936/37 so that’s a mystery I have managed to solve myself but adds some info to the board.

Hi Board Another marked piece that I’m not able to find.
