:) in Denmark we know the question and context. In 1848 - 1851we where in conflict, civil war between Denmark and Holstein and its German allied. Preussen got other problems and Denmark was Victorius. In 1864 it started all over again with Austria and Preussen as aggressors. Or Denmark as aggressor ...

by the way Kiel was part of the danish kingdom until 1864 - so is it German or Danish? :-)

I dont see the half moon either. I guess its worn.
The mark I see as the crown.
In combination with 800 I guessed at Germany - but very likely correct.

its 1869 and 1856
Peter Hertz born 1811 in Copenhagen work from age of 14.
1830-33 as silversmith in Copenhagen, Hamburg and Bremen. Citien ship 29/10-1834 etc etc

I have been in Berlin and found this sugar toungh. Its normal size problem is it has no hallmarks at all. Its clearly biedermeier in style. My estimate is around 1820. Biuedermeier or Empire - could be earlier than biedermeier. Decoration the flower bowl with a romantic heart. Its a nice piece - but...

when I saw the post this morning - the shape of the mark (heart) gave me the associasion of 1750 ties - the rococo period, but that is just a feeling.
