I have a set of flatware, knife,fork and spoon. The knife has the mark 830S and a a mark that looks like LW, the W stamped over the L. The pictures no good. Thank you Goldstein for your comment. If we assume it is a Russian import hallmark from 1898 what would your assumption be of the origin of the vase. Age obviously late 1890.

Hello Serg 1975 and you others participiating, there is no other mark than the one showed. Do you have an estimate of the age. What does the initials stand for if not for the St Petersburg assayer?

I would be interested in any information on this factory Mollwo & Sewrügin.

This box has only the mark 12 on the outside bottom. I have always assumed this is a silver plate item until I saw on the web a similar box sold as Polish sugar box in 12 Lot silver. I have this small vase, height 14 cm with three feet. On one of the feet is a russian hallmark, 84 and above ЯЛ. It was an interesting story, how the piece has landed in our family is unknown to me.
