Sorry - the base is only 1 1/2" high - I'll buy the tea strainer idea but I would assume if it is a marriage, it probably is useless and certainly not for resale.
I have no idea what this piece is - the tray on the bottom is not marked but the other piece is marked Webster. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Steve: I can't thank you enough! This is strange mark and really shouldn't be marked "sterling" as that is always American made. I never saw Germany at all - you have f=great eyesight (mine is 84 years old)
I have researched but cannot locate this mark 925 with M & M - I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out. I would think the manufacturer made novelty sterling items as this mark is on salt & pepper (antique). Thanks!
