C&MK Cunningham & McKensie, 1785

I checked the Edinburgh Assay Office database for this mark, and although it doesn't have this exact mark, it does have a C.MK which it lists it as provincial, unidentified. There seems to be a good match for it in Jackson's (no mark illustrated), where it lists a Cunningham & McKenzie, first me...

Re: ID of maker of Georgian Glasgow silver spoons

Hi,

This is not really my area, but Jackson's has a James Finlayson in the Glasgow section, earliest date 1807.

Re: Tastevin Maker's Mark, c.1730

Hi Maurice,

There is one other little mark in a circle, and it's full of dirt. I will try to get a photo of it in a couple of weeks.
Unfortunately, the first letter of the maker's mark is not readable.

Tastevin Maker's Mark, c.1730

Does anyone know the maker's mark on this tastevin which I believe was made in Paris between 1727 and 1732? Scandinavian Spoon, HB Maker

Does anyone know the maker of this silver spoon? It's very similar to a Norwegian spoon that I once posted here: http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=31206 Miles http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h200/granmaa/a33_zpsc3369c80.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h200/granmaa/a34_zp...

Hi Frank,

They look like Continental European spoons to me.

Arts & Crafts Bowl, HRF

I don't quite know which section to put this in. No English hallmarks, so perhaps the next most likely option is America. Marked HRF and another mark I can't identify. DMV Soup Ladle

Strange mark found on a c.1800 Old English pattern soup ladle. DMV or DMLV.
Any ideas?

Gebr. Friedlander Ladle

Could anyone tell me anything about Gebruder Friedlander? Is he the retailer of this ladle? There seems to be an "H" mark which I was thought could be a maker. Miles http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h200/granmaa/a-001_zps9e79e92f.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h200/granmaa/a29_zps6...

Re: Scot Prov Spoon; Anchor Mark

It's nice to see an old thread up and running again. I've come across another example of the W mark, this time with Glasgow marks on a c.1800 ladle and maker's mark LN (not traced). I think the most likely possibility is that W is a town mark for a town near to Glasgow. Wishaw? Miles http://i64.phot...
