Ladle Marks

Hello All. I'm having some difficulty with these marks. The zigzag mark and the 12 I understand, but can't find the other mark. I checked the silberpunze website, but am still not sure. I appreciate any assistance. It measures 12 3/4 inches long. Thank You. https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg htt...

Box with Repairs?

Hello All. Could anyone identify the Maker's Mark on this box. Looks to me like 77 over YB or WB. Date letter I believe is 1839. Also, it seems to have a lot of Repairs, or I'm wondering if the handle and feet are not original at all, but added later. Any thoughts appreciated. It measures 5 inches b...

Venice Spoon

Hello. I was told this spoon is Italian, from Venice. The marks are a bit rubbed, but hopefully someone can help me identify it. I think the 2nd letter of the Maker's mark is G. 6 1/4 inches long and quite solid and heavy for it's size, at 50 grams. Any help is appreciated. Thank You. https://www.92...

German Marks?

Hello All. My thought is that this is a German town Mark and Maker, but I was not able to find the mark on Silberpunze website, but I may have missed it. Perhaps it is not German, but possibly Italian. Very Large Ladle, near 18 inches. Any help is appreciated. Thank You in advance. https://www.925-1...

Spoon

Hello All. I'm having difficulty with some of these marks. It was barely recognizable as a spoon when I got it, but has cleaned up nice. I believe the Crowned V is the Import Mark, and the mark next to that the Office Mark? This is as far a I could get for now. Any help appreciated. https://www.925-...

Re: Etrog Box

Ok. Thank You. Guess I'll have to wait for someone who owns it to reply. Thought I'd mention that I believe there is a D for Brno in the Austro-Hungarian mark. Thanks.

Etrog Box

Hello All. I have a few Austro-Hungarian pieces, and really can't find any of the Maker's marks on the web, so I could use some assistance. Also, is there a good online resource for Austro-Hungarian maker's marks. Thanks. https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg

Re: Potuguese Salver

I tried cleaning out the second mark, though it's so small and difficult to get into.
It looks like a box within another box, with a JF or JI below it. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you. The more I look at it, the more I think the second letter is an F.

Maker's Mark on Box

Hello. Is this the mark of Edouard Ernie. Under magnification, in person, it looks like it could be EE, though in pics looks like EF. It's 4 x 3 x 1 1/4 inches. 172 grams. Thank You. https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg

Potuguese Salver

Hello All. I believe I have narrowed this down to Portugal, Porto, 833/1000, 1886-1938. But I can't figure out the 2nd mark. I did see similar pieces by D. Joao V, but never a pic of his maker's mark. Any help is appreciated. 13 inches Diameter, 14.5 oz. Thanks. https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jp...

Makers Mark ID on Ladle

Hello All. I've looked through the Dutch Makers Mark site linked from this website, and could not find this mark. The first letter is difficult to read. The closest I found was Johannes Hendrikus Tarner, but the dates don't match up if I'm reading the date correctly as 1895 Amsterdam. 12 inches long...
